Bride's biscuits

Makes about 5 dozen biscuits.

5 cups flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup shortening
2 cups buttermilk
1 package yeast
5 tablespoons warm water

10 - 12 minutes

@ 450°F

Tip: can be made ahead of time and frozen
